Revitalization of the Vistula embankment
Taking into account the nature of the project promoting local culture, in cooperation with local institutions, the participation of the course participants in the revitalization project of the Vistula embankment in Bydgoszcz will be planned.
This unique project has the opportunity to show the city of Bydgoszcz and Poland from the side of the longest river in Poland while promoting local construction and showing the great participation of the University in shaping the local landscape.
The place is to enable mooring and launching boats, as well as encourage rest on the Vistula River. The quay is to be built on the extension of Frycz-Modrzewski Street and will lead towards the Fordoński Bridge. Its length will be approximately 110 meters. A road 85 meters long and 5 meters wide has been planned along the quay. Next to it, there will be a 2-meter-wide pavement, as well as a bicycle path of the same width. Mooring places for small vessels, a vertical berth for mooring vessels, and a slipway for launching vessels are planned at the shore.
Taking into account the possibility of participating in the course only in the online form, it is planned to prepare an interactive construction guide using virtual techniques in the form of panoramic photos. On the other hand, the full-time course includes the purchase and use of Virtual Reality equipment in the form of Oculus Rift S. This will enable the presentation of construction using virtual reality, which will significantly increase the behavioural values of the course.
